The school starting age in Denmark is actually six, with Princess Athena, born in January 2012, currently five-and-a-half. But her parents decided they would rather her be one of the youngest in the class than the oldest

Prince Joachim of Denmark was eventually able to persuade his daughter Princess Athena of Denmark to make a move to St Joseph’s Sisters School in Odrup, not far from the home.

The young Princess will be attending classes at level 0 at St Joseph’s Sisters School in Odrup, north of Copenhagen not far from the home.
